Dean Nimmo serves as Vice President of Operations for FLINT Corp., overseeing the Wood Buffalo Region and Capital Projects portfolio. In this role, he leads our Heavy Equipment Operator business, Capital Projects teams, and the Fort McMurray Construction and Maintenance division. Dean drives operational excellence by aligning business strategies with FLINT’s long-term growth pillars.
Dean’s career with FLINT spans nearly three decades. He joined the organization in 1996 and has worked across every district within the company, earning his Red Seal JMPF certification early in his career. Throughout his journey with the organization, Dean has remained deeply committed to FLINT, moving through roles such as Project Manager, District Manager, and Area Manager for the South Central region before advancing into executive leadership. He also holds a PMP designation, bringing a strong foundation in project management and operational leadership to his current role.
