ClearStream Energy Roots

ClearStream Energy Services further entrenched its roots in the Edson community this fall with the official grand opening of its newest 12,000 sq ft fabrication facility in Edson, Alberta.

ClearStream has been operating in the Edson community since 1970 offering fabrication and small pipeline construction, maintenance and shutdown services to the oil and gas industry’s leading clients in the Edson and Hinton region. The shop employs an average of 60 people annually.

“We’ve invested in a leading-edge facility here as this region is integral to our business and we believe in the growth opportunities Edson and the surrounding areas offer. This is a proud day for our employees and we’re excited to begin this next chapter here,” says Paul Hatcher, Chief Executive Officer, ClearStream Energy Holdings.

The four-acre facility includes office space, a fabrication shop, hydro-testing bay, and our fleet mechanic’s shop. “With over 10,000 square feet of fabrication and hydro-testing space including two-five ton cranes, we are able to provide the safest and most efficient services to our clients. Regardless of weather, we will be able to safely perform work for our clients,” says Doug Bowman, Vice President Industrial Services, Central Region.

The Edson shop will cover industrial services needs of clients in Edson, Hinton, Grande Cache, Drayton Valley, Swan Hills, Whitecourt, Fox Creek and beyond.

Giving Back to the Community

Earlier today, ClearStream opened its doors to clients, school tours and the public, offering tours, a complimentary BBQ and an opportunity to learn firsthand what ClearStream Edson has to offer.

“It’s important to our company that we support the communities where our employees live and work. This week we had the chance to give back to our community in a unique way,” explains Shane Carlson, Edson Area Manager. “Earlier this week, at the Edson Tim Horton’s, ClearStream picked up the coffee tab for customers during early morning rush hour as a way to say thanks.”

A highlight of the open house was the presentation of scholarships totaling $2,400 to six deserving local students. This year’s recipients were Katyln McKenna (Parkland Composite) for her community involvement efforts, Dillon Henkel (Parkland Composite), John Hill (Holy Redeemer), Dylan Olivier (Holy Redeemer), Shana Plangger (Holy Redeemer) and Nick Minelli (Holy Redeemer) for their commitment to a career in the trades industry.
